I loved that your pets are allowed even at the extra cost ,the beach less than 200 metres from your room we definitely will be back .

The waterfront location is superb, with immediate walk-on access to the beautiful Coopers Beach. All units have a deck which is lovely for simply sitting and watching beach activity and listening to the ocean waves.It’s so close to Mangonui and it’s wonderful ‘World Famous’ Fish Shop (plus the excellent Thai restaurant) and was a convenient place to anchor while exploring the far north of NZ, such as Cape Reinga and the 90-mile beach.Also, the team are super friendly and welcoming.

Nothing serious. If you’re prepared for old fashioned, very dated/tired interior decor, stained soft furnishing covers and old kitchen & bathroom appliances, then it’s a hoot!We had everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay, but if you’re looking for luxury accommodation, this is not the place.

it was relaxing to be able to view the beach from the room and terrace if all weather.

Being able to take a few steps and just being on a fabulous beach is priceless. Safe swimming just out from motel. They have lots of dishes you can use to make meals. It is like staying in a 1950s bach and the floor slopes down and it is quirky, but very clean. Plus they allow pets, so our dog enjoys the stays as much as we do.

Absolutely fabulous hop skip and a jump to the beach. Great fun for our daughter. Her dad enjoyed the fishing. Lovely quiet and peaceful

The view was awesome right on the beach

The fridge in the room smealt so bad when you opened it made the room smell. We did not use the fridge as we had our own. The room needs to be freshen up I.e. kitchen bathroom areas.

Property is 20m from the beach at the northern end. Water was warm and great for swimming at high tide.The sunsets were wonderful.

The room was comfortable but is a little dated. The shower was not great as the water pressure was very low. We thought the bed could have been turned to face the double door and the beach view, nice in the morning.

Location

When we arrived there were no towels. Was told the staff were very busy and forgot. Arriving back at our room after been out all day the room had not been serviced. Bed not made no clean dishes bathroom as we left it. No replenish of tea coffee and milk. When I complained I was told they were short staffed but that is not my problem. Very disappointing considering we paid $200 per night.

Loved the veiw,bed was great

No fan in the room got too hot had to go and buy one. The room had a lean where the bed was outdated, decor.

The location was nothing more than outstanding. Right on the beach, you can sit on the patio and watch the sun set over the water. Fantastic.

Room suited our needs, however it was in need of a spruce up. While tidy, it could do with a 'real good clean', especially the kitchen area.

A great beach motel. The lady on reception was very helpful and gave us extra towels for the beach. The room was spacious , clean & tidy. The beach was literally on the doorstep and is great for all activities.

No complaints at all.

The location is amazing. Walk straight out to the beach for a swim. Lovely patio area for eating outdoors.

The veiws and location was exellent, the manager was very approachable and accommadating

I did not like the old dated rooms, some appliances dating back to the 1970, and worn out. This needs attention for future customers as it makes it a little unpleasant.

Relaxed vibe. Exceptional staff, including cleaners. Stunning beachfront location. Spacious grassed area between units and beach, with chairs & picnic tables. Comfortable room and outside seating. Parking with space for kayak.

Wished we could have stayed longer.

Although an older facility, it was clean and tidy. Location on the beach was excellent with great views. Within 5 min to cafes and restaurants by car.

The room was dirty and in need of a deep clean and update.Very poor maintenance of the building.There were 2 barbecues and only one barely worked. Needed a good clean
